Club volleyball offers players the opportunity to continue their fitness program and enhance their skills, build new friendships and learn to work cooperatively, participate in tournament play and gain exposure to college recruiters.

How many players are there per team?
Each team will have between 8 and 10 players. This small team size means more playing time, but also requires a greater amount of commitment from all of the team members.
How much does it cost to play for Cobb Xtreme?
Club fees for the 2009/2010 are $800. Payment can be made in one lump sum by December 6th, or in three payments as follows:
-
$300 due 12/06/09
-
$300 due 01/03/10
-
$200 due 02/07/10
What do club fees cover?
Club fees typically go toward player registration, uniforms, tournament fees, coaches fees, gym rental, and other admistrative costs.
Are there any additional expenses we should expect?
You can anticipate travel expenses for a few tournaments per season (such as hotel stay for two-day, out of town tournaments). Group rates, car pooling, and room sharing are often used to minimize these expenses. Each player/parent will be responsible for bringing a designated food item for the team table at each tournament, plus their own beverages.
And, any extras that teams decide on (for example, special socks or items not covered in the basic uniform).
When and where are the tryouts for the 2009/2010 season?
Tryouts will be held at McEachern United Methodist Church on Friday, November 6th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. OR Saturday, November 7th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. If you are interested in Cobb Xtreme, please plan to attend one or both days. There will be a non-refundable $50 tryout fee. Please bring cash, check, or money order.
When and where does Cobb Xtreme practice?
Beginning in November, we typically practice twice a week. One day during the week (such as Wednesday or Thursday evening) and one day on the weekend (such as Sunday afternoon). Practice will usually last an hour to an hour an a half. We practice in the West Cobb area. For details see our schedule and locations pages.
When and where does Cobb Xtreme play in tournaments?
Our teams participate in several (usually 6 - 8) tournaments each season (between January and May), both locally and across the southeast (for example, Atlanta, Birmingham, Huntsville, Chattanooga, Nashville, Asheville). One-day tournaments are on Saturdays, and two-day tournaments are both Saturday and Sunday. Cobb Xtreme team members are expected to attend all scheduled tournaments. Click here to view our current schedule.
How do the players get to tournaments?
Parents are responsible for getting their players to the tournaments on time. Many parents are open to carpooling, for local and out of town tournaments, as needed.
How are hotel arrangements made for out of town tournaments?
For out of town tournaments, the team mom will reserve a block of rooms (at a discounted rate) at the chosen hotel.
Notification of the location and contact information is usually available a few weeks in advance of the tournament date. Then, parents are responsible for confirming their reservations in a timely manner, and taking care of all room charges.
When will I have time and location information for specific tournaments?
Usually game location and start time are available by the middle of the week of the tournament (e.g., on Wednesday for a Saturday tournament). Often, the entire play schedule isn't available until we arrive the day of the tournament. Parents and players should anticipate spending all day at the tournament (8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. or later).
What do the players do about food at the tournaments?
The team mom will coordinate with players and parents to provide food for the day. Each player/parent will be responsible for bringing the designated food item for the team plus their own beverages.
